Each press breaks down leaf litter into nutrients.
Field notes
Press Decompose to break down leaf litter into nutrients. Spend them on growths, which keep absorbing nutrients on their own.
Living things that work with your network. Each one you recruit strengthens particular growths. Soil life costs nutrients and leaves when you sporulate.
Upgrades last until you sporulate.
Long Night: upgrades cannot be bought during this challenge.
New upgrades appear as your network grows.
Each challenge restarts your run under a harsh rule. Reach the goal to complete a level: the rule lifts at once and the reward is yours for good. Sporulating ends a challenge early.
With Panspermia bought, you can seed another world. A new world starts your spores, mutations, groundwater, ant colony and Wildwood over, apart from the Instinct and Dormancy mutations; a new queen comes with you. You keep achievements, the garden, the field guide, challenge rewards, daughter colonies, rewilded worlds and the species you have brought back before (half price), and every completed world multiplies all production by 1.2 (1.5 with Seeding Fleet).
Choose a seed, then tap an empty plot to sow it. Mature plants give their bonus for as long as they stand. New species sprout in empty plots between two mature parents, even while you are away.
Stage II
She has bitten off her wings, and in a pocket in her mouth she carries a crumb of fungus from her mother’s garden. It is a strain of you. Let her dig in and her daughters will farm your fungus: leaves in, food out, and a garden that strengthens your whole network.
Every worker has one job. Raise one and the others share what is left.
Adaptations cost ant food and last as long as this colony, through every sporulation.
More adaptations appear as the colony grows.
Stage III
Arrows run from food to whoever eats it. Circles grow with each population; green is well fed, amber is crowded, red is hungry.
Habitats cost humus and last as long as this wood, through every sporulation. Each level makes room for more animals.
